Marketing Evaluations, the company behind the famous ‘Q Scores”, has come up wit a new index that measures how much viewers love their TV shows.
The Emotional Attachment Index gauges the commitment viewers have to continue watching a show.
So what do we love the most? “Survivor,” of course.
Among the major broadcast network shows of the past TV year, the two “Survivor” installments ranked No. 1 and No. 5. That shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to followers of the Watcher, or to anyone who has paid a recent visit to any of the still-thriving “Survivor” fan websites.
Here’s the whole top 10, with their Emotional Attachment Index scores:
1. “Survivor: Micronesia” 177
2. “Heroes” 153
3. “House” 149
4. “CSI” 147
5. “Survivor: China” 145
6. “Grey’s Anatomy” 142
7. “Criminal Minds” 138
8. “Supernatural” 135
9. “NCIS” 132
10. “Sunday Night Football” 132

I’m surprised “The Office” didn’t make the list… there seems to be a cult-like following of people who watch that show.
Rocket: ‘The Office’ was ranked 18th on the list, well above average.
