The soft-core porno movie that was April’s stay in the “Big Brother” house ended Thursday, and of course, Julie Chen was there to settle those rumors once and for all.

And by of course, I mean of course not.

April and showmance partner Ollie have been the talk of “Big Brother” fans this season thanks to the sheer volume of on-camera sex they engaged in. (The Watcher can’t post any here, but if you really want to watch,  just go to YouTube and do a quick search.  It’s mostly under the covers.)

This has been accompanied by April’s complaining about her period being late and her showing signs of morning sickness – all of which has prompted chat-board regulars to speculate that the first “Big Brother” baby might be on the way.

April at least deserved a chance to quash the rumors, but instead of simply asking her about them, Julie beat around the bush repeatedly in April’s exit interview. The closest Julie got was asking whether she and Ollie planned to start a family.

And this came after Julie let April brush away a question about whether the romance hurt her in the game.

Can you imagine Ryan Seacrest letting a rumor like that go unaddressed on “American Idol”, or Jeff Probst failing to hammer a “Survivor” contestant about her strategic errors?

Of course not. But this is “Big Brother,” not a good reality show, so we’re used to Julie happily chatting with the bootees while ignoring their racist and sexist comments, unspeakable behavior, blatant hypocrisy and other assorted misdeeds. We watch, but “Big Brother” apparently does not.

Dan defeated Ollie to win the Jungle Vine competition after the two made a deal, with Dan agreeing not to put Ollie or Michelle up for eviction. Jerry and Memphis are the nominees.
