‘Survivor: Micronesia”: Who wins?

Survivor- Micronesia

Tonight wraps up “Survivor: Micronesia -Fans vs. Favorites,” a season that started slowly but finished with a string of great episodes, beginning with Jason’s stick and ending with Erik’s epic error.

Want to know how it ends?

You can wait until you watch the two-hour finale and one-hour reunion, or you can simply click through to the rest of this post.

CBS has been telling us all week to expect three tribal councils - which seems to confirm the reports that a surprise Immunity Challenge occurs at the Final 3. On the other hand, we were promised three tribal councils for the finale of “Survivor: China” and only got two.

However, the website SurvivorFever.net, which has been the best source of information all season, also is now saying there is an elimination at the final three.

Almost all of the spoilers agree that Natalie finishes in fourth place and Cirie finishes in third, leaving Amanda and Parvati as the Final Two.

The winner of “Survivor” is never spoiled, and this result is no exception. The vote looks like it will be close.

Ozzy and Eliza seem likely to vote for Amanda.

Jason, Alexis and Natalie seem likely to vote for Parvati.

That leaves James, Cirie and Erik harder to forecast. Still, the Watcher sees the majority of votes falling to PARVATI.

With eight jurors, however, a tie is possible. Would be interesting to see how that would be resolved.

Wouldn’t you love to see a 4-4 tie and have a “first one to start a fire and burn the string” contest… for a million dollars!

  2. The Watcher Says:

Rocket: Yes - and no. I would hope they could come up with a better tie-breaker than that. Although it might be more fun in the highly flammable studio.

  3. MikeWhipple Says:

I can’t prove it, but supposedly, they polled, in the back, immediately after the the Final Two made their final pitch for why they should win, they polled the ten players that played in the season but did not make it to the Jury, they were polled immediatley, and their culmative vote would have been the tie breaker.

  4. The Watcher Says:

Mike: That makes sense. One of the finalists said Jeff had a large white enveleope at hand during the reading of the votes. Of course, Probst is one of the few people who actually knew how the vote had turned out, so I’m sure that was just for show.

  5. MikeWhipple Says:

yeah, I don’t believe for a second Probst’s claims that he tries to know as little as is going on in camp and all that…..Survivor is too big a produciton to leave to that level of chance. I beleive Probst and Burnett go to several times a day briefings, where they and psychologists look at what they are doing, what has been done, read summaries, review footage to get a better idea of how to do what on the show.

According to what I have read, in Season 13, supposedly, if they Jury has split 3 Yul/3 Ozzy/1 Rebecca, that the Non-Juror’s vote would have been 6-4 in favor of Ozzy, which would have counted as one vote, and Ozzy would have won that season.

If it was up to me, personally, I would make the Tie Breaker in this kidn fo situation, I would probably use the votes of the Non-Juror’s, to be sure, but would also poll all Survivor Winners and include their votes in the mix as well.
