Ask the Watcher: Where’s ‘Prison Break’?

Has this guy ever smiled?Do you know what happened to “Prison Break”?  It should still have more episodes.

Fox’s “Prison Break” is taking, well, a break.

The networks want to run fresh episodes of their top dramas and comedies during the ratings-sweeps months: November, February and May. Traditionally, once November sweeps are over, the networks feed us reruns for Christmas. Increasingly, though, the newer serial shows go away for a month or so rather than repeat.

“Prison Break” isn’t the only show going away. “Heroes,” “Chuck” and “Life” also are disappearing for awhile.

New episodes of “Prison Break” return Jan. 14.
