The wit and wisdom of Tammy B

‘The Real Housewives” season 3 reviewed

And sometimes you just need Jell-O shotsThe Watcher worried that Tamra Barney, the new kid on the “Real Housewives of Orange County” block, was just too horribly dull even for this horribly dull show.

But it turns out that there is more to Tamra than her hobbies of binge drinking and UVing her skin to the tone of a finely basted Thanksgiving turkey. She’s a philosopher, too.

Last night, Tamra taught us this important lesson: “Sometimes you just need to do what you need to do.”

She didn’t explain about the rest of the time, when we need to do what we don’t need to do, but I think that’s part of her genius. Discuss.

She may be a philosopher but she sure can butcher the English language.

Did anyone else catch her using the word EXSCAPE instead of escape? Hope she takes some english classes if she expects to be successful in her upcoming career. She is also, “comin” and “goin” and “doin”. Some of the others are just as bad like Lauri’s “ACROST” and we can’t forget, MASSACHUSSES! Oy vey!

Jewels: It is apparent that elocution was not one of the job requirements for cast members.

note for Tamra about the simple pronoun and subject/ object rule — when to use I and when to use me. Tamra dear — it’s ‘these past few weeks have been rough for Simon and me’ not ‘Simon and I’. One more example: ‘Simon and my relationship…’ — not ‘Simon and I’s relationship.’
    Good luck with the show.

Nikki: Everyone on the show works hard to free us from the restrictions of grammar.
