After an hour or more of waiting in the hot sun, “High School Musical” fans saw their dreams come true as the stars of the movie rolled slowly down Main Street in Disneyland in convertibles, waving to the fans that packed the sidewalks.

That’s Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale in the photo on the left. Stars Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman were the other major players. Oh, and of course, Zac Efron, the hunky lead actor, who rode in the final car with his girlfriend — sorry girls! — Minnie Mouse.

“Oh my gosh, everyone’s a hottie!” said Scout Sable, 13, of Huntington Beach as the brief parade rolled to a close.

“I decided he’s going to be my future husband,” said her friend, Jessica Childers, 13, also of Huntington Beach.

Friends Madison Hanson, 7, of Tustin, and Ginger Hurney, 8, of La Habra wore their HSM hats and carried HSM schoolwork folders, hoping for an autograph or two from their favorite celebs.

How many times have you seen HSM, Ginger? “A lot! Probably 10.”

And you, Madison? “Probably like 1,000!”

The truth lies somewhere in between, but no matter — it’s hard to be happier than this, they said.
