How do you know when a reality show is officially out of good ideas? When it announces a “celebrity edition.”

And so it goes with “The Apprentice.” Last week, NBC pleased “Apprentice” fans by reupping the endangered show for at least one more season. Today, NBC stabbed those fans in the back with the news that they’ll be getting “Apprenticing with the Stars.”

The Watcher is having a hard time imagining which “celebs” want to drive a back-hoe for The Donald, but if one of them is Marla Maples, we’ll watch.
